Default 2001 Mustang cigarette lighter and center console outlets don't work

I have an issue I was wondering if anyone on here could help with.

I drive a 2001, 3.8 Ford Mustang and I recently bought an FM transmitter for my Ipod. I also have a radar detector, and since I wanted to run it and the transmitter on the same power outlet, I decided to buy a 12 volt dual power outlet.

As soon as I purchased it, I put it in my car and plugged my radar detector into it. I noticed that the detector did not come on and thought that it could have been because of how long the adapter was. I took it out and plugged it into my center console power source. This time, I plugged in my cell phone charger and the FM transmitter. Neither of them worked.

Now, my cigarette lighter and my center console power source do not work. I have checked the in car fuse panel and the fuse is not blown. I even changed the fuse and the lighter still does not work.

Have any of you heard of this before? My fuse panel diagram does not list what fuse goes to the center console. I assume it is the same one as the cigarette lighter.

Also, do any of you think it could be a fuse that is under the hood. If so, which one would it be? My car manual does not list the cigarette lighter fuse as being under the hood.

I would really like to fix this myself, since any mechanic is going to hit me with a diagnostic fee. I would rather get the easy fixes out of the way before I get some mechanic telling me "it's a fuse you ******* idiot".

Any help would be appreciated.

The cigarette lighter and console both plug in together under the shifter boot\bezel on the left. Check there first, sounds like it may have come unplugged.

Thanks for the help. I went and bought a fuse tester and found two fuses that were blown. I replaced them and everything is now fine.

The moral of the story: Don't go to the owner's manual to look at the fuse diagram because it does not list the correct fuse number for the accessory it runs.

Go figure. I guess I was stupid for trying to rely on the manual that went to my car.

What was the other fuse that was bad? I have the same issue with my 2001 Mustang. Thanks for the help.
