Question 1994 mustang headlight switch prolbum help me please

big hellow to all my new friends. the headlight switch on my 94 is driving me crazy.when i pull it on dash lites flash then go out with the tail lites.but the headlites come on.i have to find the sweet spot to get all lites to work.when i got the car i lost all lites and apon removing the switch i found no block on the switch justall the wires twisted together and pluged on one terminal of the switch it did work but the addition of better bulbs over amped the one wire on the switch and fried.so i spliced in a used block and a new switch i even got a new shaft and knob but nothing i do cures this.i have tried 3 different switches it is always the same thing.verry hard too find the sweet spot help me please i am at the end of my rope and dont tell me to go and hang my self for buying a ford lol thanks stubaby47

This sounds like a problem with the wires in the connector that goes to the switch, not the switch itself. Pull out the switch, and inspect to make sure the wires are actually connecting, one could be bent over and not completing the circuit. Happened to me.
