i have a 1978 stock 302 what is the biggest cam can i put in i want it to lope thanks

Hiya, welcome to the site.
You can't just stick in a cam with enough duration to make it lope without complimenting it with heads and a better intake. If you do, the car won't run the way you want it to. Best thing is get a long term plan about what you want to do to the car and go from there.
