Default 347 help, tryin to build a stroker

i have a 1994 mustang gt that is pretty much stock and i was wondering if anyone could lead me in the right direction as far as stroking it to a 347. i want to get the GT-40 aluminum heads and keep my stock intake, what cam would match good, what fuel injectors should i upgrade to, what should i put in the bottom end, i am trying to get the most horsepower i can, can someone lead me in the right direction?

Hiya, welcome to the site.
A 347 isn't hard to do, you just need a quality kit. While that is on the way, you send the block out for machining. Have it bored .030 over, decked for flatness, align honed, and then the bottom of the cylinder skirts will have to be notched to clear the rod bolts. You'll probably need to have the oil pan mounting rail notched too.
But putting a stock intake on a 347 is a bad idea, I hope you're intending on upgrading that at a later time. With the stocker, those extra cubes will run out of steam before 5000 rpm, be down on power because it's being choked, and in general not have much pep. You must get a quality intake to match the engine's airflow potential, meaning either a TFS Track Heat, Holley Systemax II, Edelbrock RPM II, and then a quality cam to match.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

Great advice Eagle. But, if a quality kit were purchased, why would it be necessary to notch the piston skirts? Wouldn't this be part of the kit?
