Default Wheel rub 1966 Mustang convertible

Right front wheel rubs against fender. We replaced coil springs and shocks, even added a spring rubber, but the wheel continue to rub when making a fairly hard left turn. Nothing appears to be bent and the car was never in an accident. Any ideas? thanks Hank Bahmer

This is not an unusual problem with the 65-66 models. If there is too much wheel backspacing, wheel width or too wide of a tire or a combination, this can happen.

If you want to keep the wheel/tire combo, you will have to slightly modify the fender at the problem area. If the wheel/tire combo is of a stock configuration and should not rub, there is a possibility that too much positive caster is in the alignment.
