doing away with vinyl top

Hello,
I am new to this board and just bought a 66 stang . The previous owner removed the existing black vinyl top, have ass sanded it and rattle can painted it, What will be the best way to remove the paint and adhesive. Can it be sanded off easily? what grit paper would be best.

i would honestly say she's done for. i don't think you could ever get the paint off of that. just my opinion

can't you just buy a new top???

I think you should go maybe to a paint shop that deals with that sort of stuff and ask them. I am sure they would tell you.
