Default Hood Pins question

I installed the Shelby hood pins on my 2006 mustang GT. I kind of got impatient and drilled one of the screw holes a little to big for the screw, and it won't tighten down. I tried adding some tape wrap around the screw to see if that would fix the issue, all it did was keep it in place so it gives the look of being in.

The other three are tight and there is no visible issue with the hood closing. Is this a big problem or can it be over looked?

See if you can get a "blind" or "tinnerman" nut up under the inside of the panel. I would be tempted to do that to all other screws anyway, as aluminum is not the best material for a sheet metal screw to bite into. You can get them at any home store or auto parts store.

I was thinking the same thing..but there is a problem, the lower screws have an extra sheet of metal under the hood. So they don't show under the hood like the top two and as luck has it, it is the lower right screw with the issue.

I was also thinking about going up a size but the screw head was different.

you actually got me thinking... why not just drill out the other layer to expose the bottom end of the the screw?
