Default 89 5.0 and aod swap wiring problem.

ok. me and a friend of mine took the complete chasis and engine wiring out of 89 hatchback and put it his 90 notch back. evrything was fine till we went to try and start it up. The starter was bad so went got a new one and put it in and it fired like instinitly. the fuel put turns on a off no matter where the key is at in the ignition. We have 12 volts to the solenod but none to the starter, so we swapped the solenod, same thing happened. now when we took it out otf the other car it started up and ran just fine and we cut nothing just removed it. So if anybody can help us out that would very much apperciated.

What happened to the wire harness from the 90? Why did you not used that. Not too much diff. from the two, something is crossed, does the 90 have air bags? Check your wire diagram some one like egalemotorssports, may have one scanned as a picture he can post for you. Or get a Hayes book that shows connections. Sounds like the always on hot lead is connected wrong fuel should turn off when key is off. Start their first. then move on. Do you have a voltage meter, check the wires key/on -key off.
