What underdrive pulleys are the best?

I'm thinkin one of my near future mods will be underdrive pulleys. I don't really look into steeda, and companies like that because I'm not a dealer for them. So far the only company I've seen to make underdrive pullies for my car is March. Who else makes a really good pulley. Quality and performance are what I'm after. I posted this in all tech because I want everyone's opinion. Who makes the best pulleys?

If Ford has a set for you , I'd go with them.

96-99 only. Nothing for the 02's yet. I think the problem lies in the fact that the harmonic balancer and the crank pulley are one piece.

I guess Steeda. You mentioned that you're not a dealer for them. Do you also have a shop? I have one in El Paso TX. We usually get our Steeda parts through Late Model Restoration. I might get a dealer account set up with Steeda. As for now, we don't have a big demand for their stuff. If you'd like to see my shop, check out our site at http://dcmotorsports.tripod.com Right now, our shop is very small but we're moving to a big building on March 1st. Laters

Make sure you get a good BALANCED set and NOT a PIGGY back set. I know the BBk set is a Piggy back set and March makes them for BBK. Also do not get an aluminum set. The aluminum will rub off onto your belt and you will have belt slippage and squeal. The best set I found out there is the STEEDA set. To become a Steeda dealer, all it takes is $1000 of Steeda parts and you become a Steeda authorized parts dealer. Steeda Parts are by far some of the better parts out there. IMHO. Steeda inked a deal with Ford last year to share R&D. Who will benefit from this? Ford, Steeda or us the customer. I was burned by using the BBK/March pullies and would not recommend them to anyone.

The March pullies for the old model's may be just fine. But I found the ones for the 2002 models were not of the same quality as the ones for the old push rod motors. Mine caused me a bunch of headackes and triggered my MIL to come on and there was nothing wrong with the car except the March pullies being piggy back. I put the Steeda version on, and with those being a balanced set i;ve had no issues so far.

The issue is this. Unless anyone has changed, Steeda was the only one to make a non-piggyback pulley. Their pulley is a brand new SFI approved harmonic balancer. The rest of the piggyback style are not. From what I have heard the piggyback style is not as well made as the Steeda either. If you are into alot of drag racing you also have to watch the rules as far as the SFI approved balancer goes also. It is required once you get to a certain ET/speed.
