When you are trying to discribe a noise or a vibrating ask a few people what they think that noise or vibration sounds like or feels like. But if you think its a clunk and 2 people think its a clank. What should you say? Ask more people first. Than ask here we will try to help but with the wrong info. You will get the wrong answer. :thumbsup

Always remember that no matter how good it will initially feel, throwing that ratchet wrench across the shop will inevitably hit something that does not belong to you, whether it be a 63 Chevy truck or the custom painted gas tank on a 74 Harley Sportster.
Throwing tools will ultimately cost you more money, more time, and more aggravation.

Never hurry to finish a project such as installing headers. If you hurry you WILL forget to do something such as checking to make sure all wires, cables etc are not hanging up. It is easier to fix the hung up throttle cable while you are right there than it is to fix it when you discover it is stuck on a very curvy road at 1:30 in the morning

Fast Tip No. 50 : When your friend's 98 GT breaks down because the Tensioner Pully, literally, snapped off and destroyed the entire belt, remember this! Those hard-to-get-to, very annoying Torx Nuts are reverse-threaded. Don't try the "Righty-Tighty, Lefty-Loosey" idea because then you'll just have a stripped nut.

Is anyone else having problems with the forum right now? I can't post new thread, and the site is running really slow. I thought it was my cable cuz it went out earlier today, but other sites are coming in fine.

If its not a 4 bolt main, the block is just not as strong. It its important that it was originally in a Boss Mustang, that's one thing, but if its important that its a GOOD block, the 4 bolt main is a clear dividing line between a block worth the effort, and one that goes to the swap meet.

New Tech Tip: (What number are we on anyway???)

Mr. Gasket can make anything possible... via a Mr. Gasket throttle cable bracket and 2bbl. adapter plate my finicky Motorcraft 5200 carburetor has been successfully replaced with the easy to tune and better performing Motorcraft 2100 carburetor... I've also been able to defeat the Motorcraft 4300 demon by using Mr. Gasket's adapter plate to install a Holley 4bbl on a 460, and gained noticeable performance without losing gas mileage by putting a 2-4 bbl. adapter under my Rochester 2G carb on an Edelbrock performer intake on my Chevy pickup.

And Yes. Also yes.

If your fuel pump fails, it will usually also stop making noise (check for that), particularly as it pumps up when first the ignition is turned on.

If it still sounds normal, check the fuel filter (if its clogged, your car will not go).

Default Door glass exchange

I had a 1969 Mustang Grande that has the passenger door glass missing along with the chrome strip/seal that goes between the door glass and quarter glass. I'm having a problem locating these items. Is it possible to interchange these with another model glass and hardware as other itens seem to be easier to access. I.E. convertable and FB.

Another great tool to use when trying to find answers to your automotive questions is to read the threads. AFM's members have posted a wealth of valuable information related to every conceivable Mustang issue. It is likely that several owners have posted questions about the same (or a closely related) issue.
The answer you are looking for is probably already out there somewhere, you just have to do a little research to find it.
