Default Electrical issues

Hey, im new to the site I have a 1990 coupe (ex-chp). i recently installed a new short block 331, world heads GT-40 intake E303 cam 30lb. injector ect. ect. However my eec. blew up on me and when I installed a new one it did the same. Ive replaced the main engine harness and checked the one behind the dash its seems ok no openings, and headlight harness checks out too. any ides would be very helpful. The car ran fine before the swap the oil pump went out. it idle wierd but that was not a big problem

Check the ground circuit and the input voltage to the EEC. Have you done any mods to the harness in this circuit? A bad ground can cause current to back flow in destructive paths. An input voltage that's too high will do.... you know. Blow up? Wow, that sounds kind of extreme.
