Default radiator drain plugs

Hey I was reading the tech articles on this website and it mentioned something of radiator drain plugs on the block to flush the radiator system. Where would the plugs be located on my 1992 5.0L Mustang?

Yes there are drain plugs on the block. I highly recommend draining them too when flushing the coolant.

They are located on both sides of the engine block, down low by the oil pan rails. They could be a allen head or square head pipe plug, more then likely a square. Sometimes they can become plugged, so if nothing comes out after removing the plugs just take a small screwdriver and poke through the crud

Ok, here is the drivers side. This is an old Mexican block, but the plugs are in the same location.

Screwdriver marks the spot
