Default TweeCer RT VS FAST vs Accel Gen7

Well I know the Tweecer is a lot cheeper then the other products like F.A.S.T and Accell Gen7 but do you get what you pay for. Does anyone have any comparisons to the other computer programmers. I know that F.A.S.T and the Gen7 are both computer replacements vs the TweeCer which plugs into your current computer.
1) I understand that the A9L computers in the 99-93's are ver slow so they have a difficult time responding to large modifications. Does the Tweecer accomodate for that slowness in the computer.
2.) Does the TweeCer get it's air fuel ratios from the computer? Or does it have it's own wide band 02 sensor?
3.) what are some of the benifits vs drawbacks of purchasing an aftermarket computer vs the TweeCer.

I am looking into purchasing something but I want to make the right investment. right now I have a tweeked up 347 with ATI D1 making 12lbs of boost. Using a Diablo chip.

1) no, as it is just a piggiback module, and the whole computing process still takes place at the EEC.

2) No, it just changes the programming, the EEC still performs all tasks like managing the acuators and reading the sensors output.

3) The main drawback of a replacement EEC is a steeper learning curve, other than that i dont see any.

If you want more freedom, choices and lots of performance i would probably select the GEN7 DFI. Thats what most pro's use.

For a street car, the Tweecer will do just ok.

Rob is right! You really have to know your stuff on a DFI/FAST system. Alot of them are the same functions as the Tweecer but just take it to the next level of tuning. I would have to rate the EEC Tuner up there with them as far as learning curve. That is were I started. With the EEC tuner everything is broken down into a very raw format. You get a real good understanding of the values being compared and how the sensors out-put is correlated with there scalar.

However..I do know the choice of NHRA sportsman racers are the FAST system. The only EFI car in Super Stock is running the FAST EFI system and Gary holds the national record in his class. I have installed and tuned the DFI and FAST system. The DFI is easier to install, but the FAST is by far a better tuning system. They are the innovators.

Does anyone know how much it cost to purchase either the F.A.S.T or Accell Gen VII system? I am in the process of building a 347 using the Dart block and am thinking of running either one of those systems instead of running a 750cfm carb. I like to have the ability to monitor the engin real time instead trying different jets and and guessing my way of tuning with a carb.

I am personally a fan of Megasquirt, but this is not for the novice tuner. I would go with a complete system instead of the piggyback module if you can afford it and if you are willing to invest the time and energy to properly tune it. The Tweecer will work fine for a lot of mods. Good luck
