Default Pertronics Ignitor II

I was reading an old tech article in "Mustang Monthly" about Pertronics installations. In the article they mention that the Ignitor II set up will automatically adjust timing at higher speeds. So what about the vacuum advance that's already there? Do they fight each other or help each other? Has anyone done any research on this subject?

Thanks
Harry

Haven't heard about it adjusting the timing.
Thought the only differnece from 1 to 2 was the built in rev limiter.
