Default Drop Spindles: Anyone had success with them?

I am interested in using drop spindles to lower my car instead using shorter springs and struts in the front. Has anyone had any luck with them and if so what is your setup? What did you do to lower the rear?

Drop spindles are the best choice for the front so that way you can keep your camber and caster angles even. For the rear, cut the springs and get shorter shocks.

The only drop spindle's that I have seen for a '94, drop the car 2''. Would the stock springs in the rear have in problems being cut 2''?
