1990 Mustang idle looping and stalling I have a 1968 mustang with a 1990 306 efi Mass air set up. I recently installed a e303 cam and adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The car ran great with no issues at all. This past weekend i installed Ford Racing 30 lbs injectors, C&L mass air houseing with the purple calibrated sampling tube and a 70 mm throttle body. Now i'm having idle looping. As well after warming the car up, then shutting it down, then starting it again, the car will not idle at all. It just stalls right away. I have to hold the throttle open at about 1000rpms for about 30 seconds before the idle will start to loop but the car stays running. The loop was realy bad at first. I read some threads and decided to drill a small hole in the butterfly of the throttle body. This helped by changing hte loop at idle from 500-1200 rpm loop to 850-1000rpm loop. This loop isn't too bad. But the stalling after the car warms up is still continuing. Also, when putting the car in drive or reverse, I have a C-4, the rpms will drop and the car will stall. I find that i need to "tap" the gas when putting it in gear to keep it from stalling.
I have the fuel pressure set at 40 psi. The TPS is at .97.
Any help will be greatly appreatiated. |
