Default Door compatibility question

I have a 1993 LX hatch, i am having trouble with door sagging on both sides as well as the driver side latch has a problem with jamming up and not working right. I have a chance to pick up a set of doors in mint condition for $100 for the set but its off a 86 mustang coupe. im just curious if the two different generations can swap doors or not. The dont look that different, but it doesnt take much to mess it all up. thanks all in advance.

If the doors are sagging, just replace the door pins and bushings. Cheap fix, may be a pain to get the doors to line up right tho, and that may take a bit of time. The pins and bushings can be had at pretty much any auto parts store. If you don't have a hydrolic floor jack, you may want to get one, specially if you aren't gona have a extra set of hands. Hell, even if you do have a extra set of hands you may still wana get one.

As for the door lock jamming up, are they power or manual, and jamming up how? Key won't open it, button not working? Best thing to do is take off your door panel (get a door panel remover kit, makes things so much easier, specially if you hav manual windos, those clips can be a huge PIA!) and see what is going on in there. Something may just be bent out of shape, or you may have to replace something such as a selinoid or maybe the lock assembly, or just bend something back in place.
