Default Is the postion of the brake bleeder important?

I have converted drum brakes to disk on 1965 coupe. Front disks
work fine. But when I conect back disks I lost petal. The back
disks are from 1996 Explorer. Does the postion of the bleeder
value either above or below brake line make difference? I was told
that you can't put calipers on bottom of bracket they won't bleed.
I have mew duel master cylinder which I bench bleed. Also the
calipers are on top of axle bracket.

The bleeder must be at the high point of the caliper. The air in the caliper will tend to rise to the top, with the bleeder on top you can push the air out. If the bleed is on the low side of the caliper the air will remain trapped and you will never get a pedal.

Since the blower install this thing is a rocket. CHE Adjustable Lower Contols Arms and Anti Squat Brackets. I have now changed to GT-500 wheels and tires to allow for the install of the Ford Racing 14" Brembo brake set-up.

Hey that will help alot thanks so much. I was kindof
thinking about the air but didn't know for sure.
This will reduce my trial and error time for sure.
