Hi guys,

I am having a problem making the bench adjustments on the 1-V carb. (model # C5OF-Y) on my 6 cylinder. When I place the 0.020 gauge between the throttle plate and the side of of the bore and close the choke plate, the fast idle adjusting screw cannot be adjusted to "just contact the fast idle cam" as prescribed by the shop manual. The screw bottoms out on the spring before the tip contacts the cam. Can anyone shed any light on this? Also can anyone tell me what the choke plate pulldown clearance specification for the modle #C5OF-Y is? Any replies will be greatly appreciated.
