Long story short, I'm a GM guy. There, I said it.
Ok, over on our side of the island, I can yank the 'chip' that contains the fuel/spark (and much else, I'm simplifying here) tables for the ecu to use. Now, we also read the data as a bin, into the computer, and use a program such as TunerCat to change injector constants and such, burn it to an EPROM, then pop it back into the ECU...
I'm trying to work on doing some computer-tuning with a buddy's '95 GT, but I need to learn how the Ford setup works. I understand most 'stangs are MAF based? So I'd think there'd be a MAF scalar table and such in there...
Anyway, do Ford EECs use EPROMs, or what? If so, what replacements are there out there, and what pin programmer (and voltage) would one need to work with them?
I'm not sure how developed DIY tuning is on the Fords EEC systems, but if it isn't, it will be soon.
