I went outside to go get some lunch and the car wouldn't start. It won't even kick over. The battery is fine, but the only thing I hear when I attempt to start the car is a buzzing noise. Do you think my starter went out????
I don't think it's the wiring, I inspested it all and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. It worked yesterday night si I am buffalo'd. I'm gonna clean the terminals on teh battery and see if that helps.

That's a good place to start. Clean all connections though, not just at the battery. If you could get a hold of a starter solenoid to try, I would check there too.
While the battery is disconnected, have it checked. Just in case.

This thread seems appropriate,I was installing foglights yesterday and I noticed alot of buildup around my battery connections. (The Positive and Negative terminals) I'd like to clean them, but I'm not sure how. What does everyone else do to maintain thier battery connections safely?

Originally posted by Vortex wire brush, on the terminal then you can hit it with some battery protectant spray sold anywhere or you can go the cheap way and using cooking spray.
Or, in a pinch, diet coke will get most of it off, regular coke works better, but leaves ya with a sugary residue.

The battery was fine. I pulled the fuses to check them and they all were fine. Then I went to start it and it fired right up???? Maybe one of my fuses just wiggled loose b/c all I did was pull them and push them back in. It confused me, but o'well at least I can drive my car again.
