Default What exactly do roler rockers do?

What Do They Do?
And Which Ones For Me?
Will They Clear Stock Valve Covers?
Should I Replace Anything Else?

roller rockers are rockers that have rollers on the pivots and do not slide like the stock ones, by rolling, they allow more horsepower by having less friction, as for the ones for you, it really depends on your combo, and if they clear depends on what rocker....and you should not have to swap anything else

Roller rockers actually have needle bearings in the pivot and rollers on the tip. Some cheaper roller rockers just have roller tips with stock type pivots. You may need different length pushrods depending on which brand you buy. You won't see much HP difference but it will reduce parasitic friction and they can handle aggressive cam profiles with less wear. Pedestal "bolt-on" rockers will clear stock valve covers. Stud mount will require machining heads for rocker studs. Cobra 1.7 ratio rockers will even give a little extra valve lift without changing tha cam or anything else.
