Default Spark plug sensor help?????!!!!! 99gt

Hi everyone,

This is my first car that I am buying and it has a problem with it. It is running on 7 cyl! The person said that the car burned out a sensor that for one of the spark plugs.....? Do you know what he might be talking about???

Please help me and GO MUSTANG!

There are not sensors that go to the spark plugs. The closest thing he might be talking about is the coil-on-plug for that, but I don't think they came with that stock (is possibly an aftermrket add-on).

he is talking about the COP or Coil-On-Plug which first came out in 1999 on both the GT's and Cobra's and you have one for each cylinder, for a total of 8 and if ones gone bad, you're sure to have others follow...
tip: try and stay away from aftermarket, only buy oem Ford and while your there, change the sparkplugs too and again, buy Motorcraft from Ford and not some aftermarket ones.....
