Question EECIV transplant

I would like to transplant an EECIV from a 91-93 T-bird/Cougar 3.8L onto an older straight 6 engine. I have the the ability to transfer the Hall effect pickup and shutter wheel onto my old distributor to make it work along with the other sensors and injectors. Now for the real questions. Where on the EEC do you find the tuner code such as A9L? Is it on the body of the computer on a tag or is it elsewhere? Also does anyone know how critical the speed sensor is to EEC operation? I would like to eliminate it if possible.
The wiring diagram for this vehicle is basically the same as a 5.0L Mustang except for the extra injectors and the AIR pump solenoids. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks,

Joel

Joel:

The EEC code should be a white label in the EEC Case.

The VSS is not critical on 5 speeds, only on electronic automatics.
