Sorry didnt know it was a cobra . Your intake and throttle body should be PLENTY fine . I would say save the 1000 bucks and save some more for a supercharger . The cobra is already pretty stout .

ALUMINUM HEADS!!! Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads will give you the biggest valves and best flow with out having to notch the pistons.

I have the AFR 165's (aluminum)
on my car they are good for about 40 ponies by themselves.

you can check their dyno numbers here http://www.airflowresearch.com

since you have a cobra your intake is already decent but you can always have it ported or go with one of the popular ones like the TFS Street Heat, or a GT40 with a ported lower.

Heres another link that will let you compare the most popular aftermarket heads.

I got them directly from AFR and at the time they were just over 1300.
I dont know if they have gone down. If your intrested in them I would call them to get some info, they are really nice guys and are very helpful, they have 165's and 185's, let them know what you want to do with your snake and they can give ya some advice as to what to go with.

its not necessary to change the camshaft. the GT-40X are decent heads, But there are better ones. If you use the link above you can compare them to the other heads on the market.
