hi, im getting a GT40 upper and lower intake with 70 mm tb for $1100 canadian. good deal? its used. is there anything i should look out for?

Just look to see if it has some porting done. GT-40 is one of the best intakes you can get for a 5.0. A GT-40 with porting is good but not better than a Holly System MAX right out of the box. Throttle bodies are not a biggy. Look for noticable crackes thats all.

That seems like alot, if it's ported its a great deal, those intakes will beath the hell out of a ported cobra, a 70mm tbody is a little to big to put on a mostly stock 5.0, you'll wind up losing hp, i'd go with a 65mm, i have a blower on my 89' and i only use a 65, 70 is really to big unless you have a blower with a ridiculously high psi rating.
