i am looking at purchasing a c4 tranny off ebay for $350 plus shipping. it has 3 added clutches and a total of 600 dollars in "upgrades." it was rebuilt approx. 3 months ago. any help would be much appreciated. would i be better off buying an unmodified tranny for $50? thanks,

I would make sure you get receipts. Find out who rebuilt it. Try to talk to them. Has the tranny been run before? Can you return it if it is not what they say it is?

If you do not need a built tranny, I would go with the $50.00 trans and rebuild it. This way you know what you have. Or have a local trans shop build it up. Most shops that have been around a while will know how to beef-up a C4

Never trust a used transmission...

indeed, for a used trany will be more hell than it is worth. just buy a new one and get it moded if you so choose:alien:
