Question power steering fluid?

when i turn the steering wheel, i hear a squeeking noise... i'm thinking it might be the power steering fluid, but i'm not sure where to look for the power steering resivoir (sp?) to make sure that it's full. if it's full, i was thinking i should extract it with a turkey baster and put some fresh fluid in it.

does this sound right? also, where the hell is the resivoir (sp?) at on a mustang 99 v6? i couldn't find it.

thanks,

jason

The resivoir is on the pump right behind it. Check all the ball joints and linkages. Jack the car up and turn the wheels manualy and then witht the car running. Is it a squeal or a squeek? If it's a squeal then it could be a bad belt. If it's a squeak then it could be a linkage or a ball joint.

fluid looks good, i'm going to have to check the ball joins and linkages later.

it's more of a sqeaking.

hmm, this is something i didn't realize before, it looks like it only does it when i turn the wheel to the left, however to the right is perfectly fine and no squeaking.
