Default Performance chips

I've been looking at performance chips and I wanted some of you guys' input. I liked superchips because its supposed to help firm up the shifts and decrease shifting time (I have an automatic), and its pretty cheap and non-mod specific. How much benefit do you get using a custom chip made for your mods? I think the only problem with that is I am still adding stuff on so I don't want to have to keep reburning or getting new chips.

i would advise against a chip at this point. You didn't post your mods, but an off the shelf chip wont help as much as a custom burnt one.. but you want a dyno burned chip to complete your mods.. so do it last. As far as firming up your shifts, I would look into a shift kit/valve body replacement and a tranny cooler. this will really help the life of your auto. If you want more information, this has been discussed quite a few times. at the top right, do a search for "chip"

B&M is supposed to be a pretty reputable company.

I have a Performance Automatics Street/Strip valve body. I like it alot. The 1-2 shift is great and the 2-3 shift is OK. If were doing it again, I would get a Lentech OD delete valve body. Good luck with whatever you decide. I don't know if you have gears done yet, but I would do them before the valve body or at the same time.

The transgo kit is also pretty good.

And install a tranny cooler, i had a B&M, nice quality.

As far as the chip...wait for more mods.
