Any motor with 11.1 comp and lower doesn't need more than 91 octane to run great so more octane is a waist of money.
For the ones who said it does make a difference then I would start by checking the tune up and the one other over looked thing the O2 sensors
An engine needs only so much octane to run good so adding more is a waist and probably you run slower at the track with higher octane but remember if you ping on 91-94 octane look at timing,tune up,O2 sensors,coolant(running hot).
Don't take my word for it try it at the track you'll see that you'll run slower with 100 octane than 91.
Unless you have more than 11.1 comp
Go see on my site I built a 351 for a pantera and it made 564hp and 474 # of torque on 91 octane.Not a stroker either.
