I did it in my '01 GT when I still had it. I bought the belt at AutoZone. It is fairly easy and simple. The hardest part to it is pulling the rear seat bottom up, but it does come up, it is not bolted in the back part. Just take your hands and pry the seat up from the back. You will have to guide the existing seat belt clasp thru the holes. Remove the bolts, add the new holders and replace the bolts. I had to bend the new holder (bracket, whatever it is called) to make it fit. Attach the new belt as described in the instructions, guide the existing belts and the new belts back through the holes in the seat as you push it back into place, and you are set. I had to do this for just one car seat. I wanted it in the center because if the limited room in the Mustang rear. Good luck.

It was the old pull to adjust type, but I am sure you could install a retractable the same way.
