T.J., I have heard some good things about the Superchips powerprogrammers but I am not totally sold on them. I would have to say the greatest benefit is you can adjust them as you mod your car. Its like any other chip mod, its only as good as the programming. You would probably get the most benefit out of it once your car is pretty heavily modified.

Speaking of superchips programmers... I was on the phone with em a couple days ago asking about their programmers. They are reprogramming their program to be more agressive... It'll be done in about two weeks. I'm thinkin about getting one in the mean time. You can also use the programmer as a scanner and deleteing tool for codes. sounds good to me for about 300... It's has similar options like the hypertech programmer... But for our cars, the superchips programmer has more options. He said you can change when the cooling fans come on, gear ratios, and a few other options.
Does it just have some preset codes? Can you use it with an existing chip? Can you adjust the programs yourself? I dont know much about them. Let me know.

I don't know what you mean by preset codes. I wouldn't use it with an existing chip. The program itself cannot be adjusted. But you can change settings like what gears you have, what temp the fans kick on, shift firmness (auto), shift points (auto), rev limiter. If you have any other questions, ask em and I'll give em a call on tuesday to see what's up. I'll call from work.
What I mean is does it just plug in and you choose a preset program as far as how it adjusts the ECU. But you answered the question. Sounds like a good thing Matt, wish I had the 240 bucks I spent on my chip back.

Matt, sounds to me that you need to be our "beta tester" on the programmer. Give us your honest opinion and then pro's and cons in the product evaluation section.
I'm thinking about ordering one in about two or three weeks just to hold me over till I can find out more information on my S/C... Once my brother is done messing around on my motorcycle, he said he knows a few people that will buy it for a couple grand... That way I'm not too worried about losing out on my chance for the S/C... But hey, that's what credit cards are for
Edit: They retail for $350... you can find em for less.
what i gathered from hypertech is that you can adjust it per mod and then you can set it back to a stock setting.they were saying the gains were anywhere between 15-30 hp.don't know how true or accurate that is but i would like to find out before i go out and spend $300.thanks for the feedback, keep it coming.

It cannot be adjusted per mod... I'll tell you that right now.
