I know you have to get a new upper intake, the existing fuel rail isn't needed, you need a carb. Is there anything else major that needs to be looked at?

New electric fuel pump and lines, distributor (one from an 85 would work)
New ignition system (MSD or Crane). Throttle cable and bracket.
I'm sure I am forgetting something too.
would this be for a 2002 car? Why would you have to rework the existing fuel lines? Also why would I need a new pump?

do they even make a carb intake for the six?
why do you want to do this anyway? its way more of a hassel than its worth.. plus your gas milage will go down..
indeed they do make a carb intake for the 6, I want to do this for the same reason that I am getting an 03 IRS put in. To be different and get the most out of my stang. Ya gas milage will go down but a carbed 6 with morana intakes, and heads, gaskets, spacers, and windage tray with girdle would just be toooooo sexy!!!!!!

well i wouldnt say that putting a carb on is getting the most out of it.. EFI constently adjusts itself to peak performance... Carb is what ever you set it to... plus carbs have a delay in throttle response compared to EFI...
