Default Weighted fly wheel or not ?????????

Heres the Problem ...my brother has a 1980 ford mustang .oringinaly a 6 cyl/..change cross members .. motor is a 1982 302 out of a L.T.D...we are running a C-4 tranny .... it takes a 157 tooth fly wheel or flexplate which ever you prefer ...now question is ????. we have a very bad vibration was wondering if we should have a flywheel with no external weight instead of one with?????????I know some motors are internaly balanced but at a loss here ????.any help is greatly appreciated ???????????

The flywheel should be with a 28oz imbalance.

81 and up is a 50 oz. counter wieghted flywheel... I have it here in my catalog.

stand corrected, i thought it was 83 and later..

50 oz it is.

BTW, also check you have the right 50oz crank damper in place.

Where's the flywheel from?

I didn't think Ford ever made a 50-oz 157-tooth wheel.AODs use the 164 tooth in either 28 or 50,but I thought that all 157s were 28s.

Any part guys have any info on this?The only C4/157 combos on Fox Mustangs were the 79-80 302 and 81 255 V8s,right?
