What is the difference in a shortblock engine and a big block or long block.? I know that you can get the same displacement motors in either sometimes. So what is the differences and what are the advantages of both.

Longblock = the same as a shortblock only it has heads, block and sometimes the intake installed
Big block = large engine block usually with more thank 400 CI displacement (pushrod motors)
Small block = small engine block usually with less than 400 CI displacement (pushrod motors)
