Default cruise help

i have a 1998 v6 auto, and i was driving someday and the cruise just didnt work, i tried it many times. has anyone else have this problem? i use my cruise alot because good ole i75 is what seperates my girlfriend and i, and lately i have been pulled over twice for speeding because i dont realize how fast i am going (luckly they were nice pigs(cops), no tickets yet) i am wondering how i get the covers off of the buttons so i can see if maybe its a loose wire, but i dont want to break it more.
thanks for any help you can give me

Default Check This Bracket

I have a new Mach 1 and the cruise did not work from day 1 of delivery. The dealer replaced the electrical components, servo, and computer module..still didn't work. Finally, another dealer mechanic noticed the bracket under the dash that mounts the cruise disconnect switch (if you tap the brake or push in the clutch, it disconnects the cruise) was mis aligned, causing the cruise to be disconnected all the time. It ended up being a 5 minute fix.
