Door lock problem

Ok here's the problem. My door locks don't always lock and unlock when I use the switch on the door. When the door is all the way open they definately dont work, but when the door is almost shut, they sometimes work. When I use my alarm to lock them they don't lock either. Here's what gets me, when I manually lock the doors and then use the alarm to unlock them, they unlock. What the hell is going on. It has to be the most annoying thing I have encountered with my stang.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I don't know for sure, but I would say from what you describe that it is probably the fault of a cracked or broken wire, or a faulty ground.

Maybe a bad connection in the switch?

Had the same problem. Ended up both of the actuators were rusted.

My guess is actuator is going bad. Salvage yard or buy for about $40 at 50resto.com.

I thought of the actuators, but both at the same time?
