Thumbs up Rob, (and Dale) This is where the rubber meets the road bud

OK since you are the reason I bought the tuner AND you are going to be an ATI Dealer AND you also have a U4PO like me, let use this thread to tune my newly Procharged 94. Hopefully, tegether we can work my richness and surging/dying idle uder control so that YOU can have all the answer for when you get you P1SC and your future customers have issue.

Here is the deal:

Just fired it up with my EEC tuner all set up with 42# slopes (48 low) and the 01 Lightning MAF and MAF_Transfer tables (reduced by 25%) the Crank_Pulse_Width paired WAY down (most like .35), Fuel presure at 41 PSI and its still VERY rich at idle and surges and dies within 30 seconds. Later I can past some of my tables. I would LOVE to send someone my .cal files and have them look at them BTW

BTW there are new a new GUI 1.g and or cbaza.dat calulates you slopes now.

Ian

Well, send me those CAL files !!!

I would probably start reducing fuel pressure to 39, large injectors tend to flow more than small ones at same fuel pressures.

Second, your MAF, is it a Lightning MAF with STOCK mustang mas sensor? if not, use the stock sensor, leave the stock Voltage values and just map the lightning air flow in the MAF Table.

Theres also the LOAD thing, any modifications to the LOAD scaling? thats good to tune some spark retard at over 100% loads.

I got a new lightning maf and sensor. I kept the voltage column the same but reduced the 2nd KL/hr colum as per what an EEC goup guy told me to do. As for the Load thing, I didnt touch it because I dont know what it is. I will get you my .cal ASAP as I would like to try to fix the surge before the weekend is out a least. This will REALLY help me out and hopefully help you hit the ground running when you strap on your blower too.

Dont forget to shoot me an email Rob at fordman50@attbi.com ASAP so I can sent you those cals. Also you belong to the Yahoo EEC group? Have you seen my recent topic about the LMAF/42 tuning?

Thanks

Ian

Unhappy

Take a look at that cal Rob? I THOUGHT I had it running OK Fri but somehow I messed it up again BAD. I have been tunning for 4 days straight now and its now totally undriveable I keep fouling up the plugs with gas and carbon.

I when an replaced my new 23s with 24s and leaned up the LMAF's curve about 25% and set the slopes to 42-50 and it imediately fouled up the plugs AGAIN! I am sooooo discusted now. One thing I could use some help on is the Crank_Paulse_width (in GUI table format).

Today I am going to clean the O2 sensors off and the plugs and try again. Its getting real old though. Im beginig to wonder how ANYONE could run a setup like this. Raymond told me that the 01 Lmaf/42s/no FMU was the way to go with a P1SC kit but in two weeks of having the kit installed, I have yet to even drive around the block! I litterally DO feel like crying now. I wish I could just hand it over to a dyno tuner now but the nearest one is 500 miles away.
