Unhappy I need some badly needed advice

My son just purchased a 1995 mustang. The previous owner had just had a new transmission in it and it had a warranty. Two days after we had it (he picked it up the day it came out of the transmission shop) it started making noises. We took it back and they said that the yoke was bad and it wasn't covered under the warranty. My question is: Could they have damaged the yoke when they switched out transmissions?

They said that there wasn't anything wrong with the yoke when they put everything back together. Sounds a little fishy to me.

Thanks for any imput you can give me.

HAve them show you the "damaged" yoke, sounds fishy to me too.

A yoke will hardly be damaged by a stock engine, if any the outputshaft should fail first.
