I was driving along with some friends in my 5.0, and I was talking about the car. I hadn't had a problem with the car for over half a year, and I said to my friends, " this is one of the most reliable cars I have ever bought." Not more than a minute later, the car chugged three times, than died. I think it is a timing chain. The car turns over, and was holding perfect oil pressure and water temp before it died. It was exactly like when my lx broke it's timing belt.

pull off the distributor cap and turn the motor over with a breaker bar . if the rotor turns then the chain is not broken . Are you not getting spark when you turn it over ? if not then it is probably the tfi module or the coil .
