Default Lets solve the weight issue……….

This discussion started on another thread which was off topic so I posting it here to stop hijacking that thread and trying to get more exposure in the community lounge.
We started discussing weights of the mustangs and I made a post with info from autotrader .com but there was an error (found by coyote of course ) in the weight, so I did a little digging. According to Auto trader my 1988 GT Convertible Curb Weight should be 2,953, well I went and weighted my stang an a certified scale and it actually weighs 3320, that’s with out me……..now I have aluminum heads and have removed my fog lights and bracket so that should be good for about 60 lbs.
Now I know we have discussed weights before and I remember someone else posting from a web site that had weights but cant seem to find that thread. I am looking for something that post accurate weights of various years, if possible including the mustang II. Any ideas…………
It would be nice to find some way to solve the weight question once and for all with a accurate list.

This is kinda offtopic to the Mustangs, but my dad had his Corvette weighed after Lingenfelter Twin Turbo Package and it weighed 3620 lbs with him in it at a Certified Automated Truck Scale (CAT Scale). Just thought that would be interesting, TT package is good for about another 100 lbs plus my dad is around 200 at the time, less now though.

Sorry have no info on the Stangs tho

I knew eventually some one would have a link, I should of lost more weight with what I have done but I have no idea how much my crappy eagle alloy wheels weigh over stock, the Tremec might weigh more than a t-5 and I know those H beam rods are heavier, but anyway this data is very close to what I actually have so I will accept it, thanks a bunch for posting!
