holes in mufflers causing problems MY V6 has a converted dual exhaust system, running on flowmaster mufflers. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a change in the car's sound, and sure enough I spotted a rusted out dime-sized hole in each of my mufflers (one is slightly bigger and lets out more smoke). Gas mileage hasn't changed noticeably, and the car is definitely much louder in higher gears.
Would I add damage to the exhaust system if I drive the car in this shape before I store it in 2 months? Could this affect my cat-converters or any other components?
All your opinions are appreciated folks. Thanks
