custom chip questions (mostly cost)

I was wondering how much does a blank chip cost?

And how much does it cost to get things burned on it? Things like a new rear gear ratio, and new air/fuel mixtures at each rpm.

I want to get a 4.10 gear, but if it costs a lot of money to get things put on chips then I might just settle for a hypertech programmer or something.

Oh ya, I DO have an automatic so I need the chip for keeping my speedometer accurate after the gear change.

A rough estimate is around 250-300 for the chip, plus around 100 for each reburn on a dyno. Some will throw the first program for free.

Hey not bad, sounds a lot better than a hypertech for the same price.
