AODE Shifting Problems

My AODE in my 95 GT Vert is shifting abnormally. I just got it back together after replacing an EPCS.

When you launch and shift, instead of shifting right away it slips for a second, RPM's are soaring, and than it finally engages into second and goes.

The same thing happens with the 2-3 shift.

When you're rolling and you floor it, the trans slips with RPM's near 5500, stays there for a second, and than engages and goes.

What's going on? It has a Transgo Shift Kit, 3000 Stall Converter, and 4.10 gears.

Sounds like the computer doen't know what the tranny is doing. Is the connector between the tranny and the computer hooked up? It's the one right above the shifter lever on the tranny. I think it's a 8pin connector.

Well, the connector is tight, and I double checked that the fluid was full. During a race, it hung up again between shifts.

Worn clutches maybe

It shifts fine during normal cruising, even during 75% throttle. Its only WOT that does it.
