Default I've got a 2.3, need info for adjusting the TPS, already read the article

Ok so i read the tech articles on tps sensors and it tells you to adjust it until the voltage reads .99, but i can't adjust it to make it lower, i was wondering why i couldn't get my car to run, and why it was dumping so much fuel, the tps is registering at 4.54, is that normal for a 2.3. Does anyone know why its registering so high. And if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

are the bolt holes in the tps slotted ? If not then it is not adjustable , and you need a new tps sensor . if the holes are slotted , then you can take a drill bit and make the slot longer for a broader adjustment range

Ok well i dropped another engine in because the last engine a rod went through the pan. And i had it running but, very poorly, vacuum leak, and then it was dumping fuel, i have two TPS sensors, one from the old engine which is slotted, and the one off of the new engine, and both read the same voltage.

Where did you get the .99 value from ? A chiltons manual ? Just a stupid question , but are you sure the tps is on correctly ? the key should be on with the engine off and the throttle should not be touched , it should be closed .

the tech article said that the voltage should be .99, and to adjust it until the voltage was obtained.
