Quick one... Is there a special way you have to install a Flexplate for a 1979 302?

I have a slight vibration problem around the header collector on the passenger side of the car. The flex plate I purchased matched up with the one I took off the vehichle.

Don't know what to do... Is there a key or notch in the block that lines up the flexplate or do I need to turn the engine so the flexplate and crank line up in a certain way?

The flexplate can only be installed a certain way, so it is impossible to install it wrong. The holes are uneven in distribution and match the crank exactly.
Could be your converter, or the tranny is not seating even on the block (bad bellhousing, bent dowel pins, bolts not tight).
