Question need help, car won't stay running

Ok, this is what happened, blew a rod, switched the engine. When i first started it, it sounded great. But the clutch wouldn't disengaged, so when i tightened the bolts on the pressure plate, i also decided to put in new plugs(which turned out to be defective), but i thought it was the ignition control mod, so i took out the distributor, and then later found out it was the plugs, well i got the timing down but the it won't idle correctly, and when its trying to die its jumps a couple times before it fully goes off. Any thoughts?

Could be that you skipped a tooth when you reinstalled the distributor. Have you checked TDC?

But if i skipped a tooth on the distributor the timing would be incorrect, i think you meant skipped a tooth on the belt for the camshaft. Anyways, i found out the problem, the TPS is malfunctioning, with the key in the on position car off, it puts out 4.6, and my friends puts out .44, so its dumping 10x as much fuel. Not good.

I was gonna say EGR valve is broke or disconnected, but glad you found out what it was.
