Question speedometer question

my girlfirned has a 95 Sable and the speedometer jumps around and makes a clickin noise when driving how do i fix this is one of the gears stripped inside the cluster maybe? let me know thanks

cable could be binding, you should be able to lube it where it connects to the speedo.

when speedo jumps on a taurus/sable usually only way to cure is to replace the speedo head,this problem usually occurs as the weather gets colder.

actually, try lubing it first, and if that doesnt work, get a replacement
