Grippy Street Tires and Bullits on a '94 Saleen body. Grippy Street Tires
I'm in the market for some 275/35-18 tires to go along with some 18x9 wheels I'll be buying soon.
I want something that I can get at least 15,000 miles out of and is good for straigh-line traction as well as something that'll put my Steeda suspension through the paces, for around $200. I don't care about top speed or noise. I just want something grippy.
I was leaning toward Nitto 555 or 555RIIs but I'd like to hear from people with first hand experience.
Bridgestone Pole Positions are pricey but if they are THAT good, I might go with them.
Goodyear F1-GS tires have outstanding ratings on Tire Rack, but I've had bad experience with them and would rather not go with such a big name. I'd like to give Kumho, Nitto, or Toyo a try.
I live in Missouri, where cold weather is an issue, but I already have 16 inch wheels with all-season tires that are sufficient for that duty. Bullits on a '94 Saleen body
I am actually looking to get some 18x9 versions. But I am kinda torn, I have seen a '99 with a Saleen kit and 17" bullets and it looked like ass IMO. But I only saw it briefly, less than 10 seconds, as I drove down the main street and saw it pull out of a parking lot.
But when I got to thinking, it might look good on my Saleen bodied '94. Only chrome plated and 18". Maybe I didn't like the '99 I saw because the bulllits were 17" and they were silver and the car was white.
I'm torn between AFS chrome 18" '03 Cobra wheels and their chrome bullits. One side of me says the straight spokes on the Cobra will go well with the sharp lines of the Saleen body kit. And another side of my says the chrome bullits will give it more muscle and less rice.
What do you think? Does anyone have pictures of similar combinations?
