Hey , i was just wondering if anyone out there is using 3.42's in their rear end .. i just pick up a ring and pinion out of a police cruiser ( we reb0uilt the rear end in the dealership) and i was just wondering what people had to do to get the speedo back in sync? because i cannot get a speedo gear for the gear ratio and i like my speedo being right on the money

A 3.08:1 gearset in a CV 'Police Interceptor' (which is the P71 package)? A 3.08:1 gearset sounds more like a base, LX, or LX Sport model (all without P71).
Sorry guys , i was wrong , i was just talking to our parts guy and he made a mistake when he told me the gear ratio .. i gave him the part number off the pinion and he typed in the wrong number , turns out Jarrett was right , that ratio came in the 7.5 axle , just shows me to trust parts guys lol anyways just so you know the actual ratio is a 3.55 sorry guys ...ill take the blame for this one
